My journey started in 1983. Mental health was obsolete during my childhood years and the better part of my early twenties. I had learned in nursing school only pills improved situations. So, I started my pill adventure in 2009, not realizing I needed to communicate all the feelings I had gone through my whole life. Graduating nursing school in 2006, and becoming a nurse supported my theory of popping pills until I went through eighteen different medications. I made a realization that medications were not the answer to everything, but life situations and choices I had made. These choices created my reality.
Once I realized my mind controlled my outcome, I sought after new ways into creating a different mindset called positivity. I became a mindset coach and established my practice along with bedside nursing. I wrote this book with vulnerability to let my readers know they are not alone in the world. Mental health determines your physical health. We have a long way to go in establishing a positive world again, and I hope this book makes you realize that all you have is the present moment, live life to your fullest, and set good intentions not only for yourself, but for others. From my light to your light, may we shine to our brightest capabilities.
